Spencer Elected to National Academy of Sciences
Economists with the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI) and the MU Agricultural Markets and Policy (AMAP) team release the annual U.S. Baseline Outlook report each spring. The baseline projections for agricultural and biofuel markets were prepared using market information available in February.

Pressure on Farm Finances Appears Likely to Continue
Thomas Bonnot earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in fisheries and wildlife sciences at MU. After a stint with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), Bonnot received his Ph.D. in natural resources and conservation, along with a minor in statistics. He has been in his new role as an assistant research professor in the School of Natural Resources for a year.

Tracking the Trends
Megan Hall’s appointment in CAFNR is in viticulture, a collaborative partnership between the Grape and Wine Institute (GWI) and the Division of Plant Sciences. In her first year at MU she has established her lab, which includes two graduate students and a technician. Hall’s lab is currently in the middle of three research projects, including a deeper dive into sour rot.
