Mandy Bish recognized with Provost’s Award for Creative Extension Programming by New Faculty

Mandy Bish, assistant professor and extension plant pathologist, has been chosen to receive the Provost’s Award for Creative Extension Programming by New Faculty. Bish also serves as the MU Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Coordinator and director of SCN Diagnostics. Her research is focused on identifying economical and sustainable solutions for disease management in crop production with specific focus on corn and soybeans. This award recognizes faculty with a current (at least 25 percent) extension assignment who have made exceptional accomplishments in their first four years of service to MU in the field of extension or continuing education.

David Mendoza-Cozatl receives the Roger L. Mitchell Fellow Award as part of 2025 Celebration of Excellence

David Mendoza-Cozatl, associate professor in the Division of Plant Science and Technology, is the recipient of CAFNR’s 2025 Roger L. Mitchell Fellow Award.    Mendoza-Cozatl is a world-leading expert in plant metal nutrient acquisition and detoxification, with a focus on enhancing food security through biofortification.
