Mizzou Student Chapter of the American Institute of Floral Designers Win Awards at AIFD National Symposium
The MU Student American Institute of Floral Designers (SAIFD) Chapter placed 2nd in the nation in the student competition during the American Institute of Floral Designers National Symposium in Palm Springs, July 12-15.

A ‘first’ for Mizzou
The IFT FIRST conference ran July 13-16, and Mizzou was front and center, as CAFNR’s own Vice Chancellor and Dean Christopher Daubert helped host and kick off the event as IFT’s president, including sharing a welcome at the opening keynote, cutting the ribbon to officially open the expo, and much more.

Biochemistry student wins American Association for Cancer Research Undergraduate Scholar Award
Blake Arciga, senior biochemistry major, was awarded the American Association for Cancer Research Undergraduate Scholar Award for his work in Satyanarayana Rachagani’s veterinary medicine and surgery lab.

SNR researcher dives into Paraguayan fish conservation with Fulbright Award
Allison Pease, assistant professor in the School of Natural Resources at Mizzou’s College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award to support an ambitious six-month research project in Paraguay focused on conserving the country’s diverse river fish populations.

14 CAFNR students awarded Mizzou Forward Undergraduate Research Training Grants
Fourteen CAFNR students have been awarded Mizzou Foward Undergraduate Research Training Grants. The purpose of these fellowships is to financially support undergraduate students who are serious about pursuing a graduate education in STEM and NSF-funded fields in order to enhance their opportunity to be admitted into the graduate school of their choice.

Mizzou Meteorology Club helps Mizzou achieve StormReady designation from the National Weather Service
The University of Missouri has earned a StormReady designation from the National Weather Service. The recognition is awarded to communities and institutions that demonstrate a strong commitment to severe weather preparedness and communication.
