Life Sciences Quest 2023 was held July 9-13 in partnership with the Missouri Department of Agriculture to help high school students learn about the intersection of science careers and agriculture in our daily lives.

CAFNR Faculty & Staff Receive Honorary State FFA Degrees

The Missouri FFA Association named a number of CAFNR faculty and staff members Honorary State FFA Degree recipients at the 95th Missouri FFA Convention held April 20-21 in Columbia. This recognition was given for years of support, including service as state superintendents for agriculture, food and natural resources Career Development Events. Bryan L. Garton

Bryan L. Garton is the senior associate dean and director of academic programs for the University of Missouri’s College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR). In this role, Garton provides leadership for the College’s teaching mission, including administration of degree programs, student success, international experiences, scholarships, along with career readiness and placement for over 3,000 students. Garton has served the College in a variety of roles since joining the faculty as an assistant professor of agricultural education in 1993. He served as assistant dean of academic programs and from 2002 to 2007 as chair of the agricultural education department.
