USDA study shows increased job demand for CAFNR graduates in the next five years
A new national employment outlook study conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) projected a five-year outlook in those fields, from 2025 to 2030. The report forecasts more than 104,000 annual job openings, a demand expected to exceed the supply of qualified graduates.

Daniel Credeur honored with Golden Apple Award

MU Collegiate Soil Judging places 3rd at regional contest, helps out rival team
Last month, the MU Collegiate Soil Judging Team took home third place at the 2025 Region V Soil Judging Contest in Omaha, advancing to the 2026 National Collegiate Soil Judging contest in Raleigh, North Carolina, this upcoming spring. Mizzou’s team is the largest collegiate soil judging team in the nation, and although 24 Mizzou students competed in the contest, only 21 actually competed for the Tigers.

Career Exploration Days open REECs to high school students across state
Each fall, the Missouri Agricultural Experiment Station's (MOAES) Research, Extension and Education Centers (REECs) provide local high students the opportunity to learn about careers stemming from CAFNR's 14 degree programs. In addition to information provided by CAFNR's Academic Programs Office and degree program recruiters, each REEC taps local faculty in extension and research to showcase their work.
