Q&A With Amy Moum

Moum is a program/project support coordinator II in the Division of Applied Social Sciences

What are your job duties/job responsibilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources?

I am a program/project support coordinator II in the Division of Applied Social Sciences. I work on faculty development for the division, including faculty awards and promotion & tenure. Once the pandemic restrictions are over I will get back to supporting executive education programming in the Division, as well as building capacity in experience learning for our hospitality management students through the Eckles Café event space.

How long have you worked in CAFNR?

I have been in CAFNR a little over five years.

What do you enjoy about working for CAFNR/Mizzou?

I am always surprised and impressed by the variety of work being done in CAFNR and around Mizzou. There is so much interesting research happening on campus, so many programs, and SO MANY people! I went to a small, private college so the scale of operations at Mizzou just blows my mind.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I like to work and create with my hands, whether that’s digging around in the garden, baking in the kitchen, fixing things around the house, or crocheting in front of the TV. My family and I also enjoy getting outside and walking the nature trails around Columbia.

What is something your co-workers/other CAFNR employees don’t know about you?

I am a classically trained singer and sang opera and musical theater for many years. I still sing all the time at home!
