Dae-Young Kim and Beomjoo Kim Earn Best Paper Award

Dae-Young Kim, a professor of hospitality management, and Beomjoo Kim, a master’s student in hospitality management, received the best paper award at the Tourism Sciences Society of Korea (TOSOK) International Tourism Conference. Their paper was titled, “Effects of source and message on travel YouTube: Cognitive and affective destination images of S. Korea.” Dae-Young Kim’s research mainly focuses on consumer behavior and hospitality/tourism marketing. These two closely related fields involve the use of various research methods and applied strategies. Each year, high school students from across the state travel to the University of Missouri to take part in the State FFA Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Career Development Events (CDEs). The MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) offers its expertise for these events, as faculty, staff and students lend a hand in setting up and running the competitive events. CAFNR went the extra mile this year to host an in-person event, and worked to offer the same strong CDEs while also following health and safety protocols.

Senior Spotlight: Tanner and Sean Allen

As legacy students growing up in Columbia, Mo., the University of Missouri held a special place for twin brothers Sean and Tanner Allen.
