Four scientists at the University of Missouri are ranked in the top 100 in the United States as part of Research.com’s fifth annual ranking of the leading scientists in plant science and agronomy. Researchers were evaluated using indicators including citation data, publication impact and academic distinctions. Mizzou faculty in the top 100 include:
- Ron Mittler, Curators’ Distinguished Professor, 26th in U.S.; 87th in world
- Henry Nguyen, professor of plant genetics and biotechnology, 33rd in U.S.; 99th in world
- Gary Stacey, Curators’ Distinguished Professor, 36th in U.S.
- John Boyer, Distinguished Research Professor and National Academy of Sciences member (retired), 83rd in U.S.
