![Science Night at Jefferson Farm and Garden will return with another evening of scientific discussion on Thursday, Sept. 19, with a focus on plant genetics – specifically, corn. The event, titled, “Plant Genetics – Where Our Food Comes From and How We Got To Where We Are,” will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. A tour of the corn genetics demonstration field will go from 5:30-6 p.m., and a roundtable discussion will follow at 6 p.m. Another tour of the corn genetics demonstration field will last from 7-7:30 p.m. The Missouri Maize Center will be part of Science Night at Jefferson Farm and Garden as well, which is free and open to the public. An Evening of Learning
![Attendees of the Graves-Chapple Research Center Field Day had the opportunity to enjoy informational and educational presentations, as well as wonderful weather, during the event on Tuesday, Aug. 27. The Field Day focused on integrated pest management, crop management and technology in agriculture. A Perfect Morning for Presentations
![For years, the Bradford Research Center invited University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources faculty and staff to the Center for a lunch featuring numerous varieties of sweet corn. The Bradford Research Center is bringing that event to the public, with some exciting additions. The Center is offering a farm-to-table dinner featuring sweet corn grown at Bradford. University Club Executive Chef Matthia Accurso has curated a one-of-a-kind menu, highlighting the versatility and flavor of sweet corn, especially for the event.
