Biochemistry and School of Natural Resources advisors selected for UM System Advisor Development program for the 2024-25 school year
Alison Rutledge, senior academic advisor in biochemistry, and Jenna Fusinatto, senior student services coordinator in the School of Natural Resources, were selected to participate in the 6th annual cohort of the University of Missouri System Advisor Development Program (ADP).

Twelve Mizzou students were selected to receive Agriculture Future of America (AFA) Scholarships. AFA’s mission is to “build bridges for young leaders, fostering engagement and innovation in food and agriculture.”

DAREC Symposium poster winners announced
The new MU Digital Agriculture Research and Extension Center (DAREC) held its first-ever Digital Agriculture Symposium June 20-21. Errin Anderson Named Driver to Distinction
CAFNR Vice Chancellor and Dean Christopher Daubert recognized Errin Anderson, program coordinator in Biochemistry, with a CAFNR Driver to Distinction award June 14, 2024, in honor of the integral role she plays in Biochemistry’s faculty recruitment efforts. In the past year alone, Anderson’s attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills contributed greatly to the successful recruitment of two faculty members and the campus visits of four MizzouForward candidates.

Secley Kennedy Honored with Chancellor’s Outstanding Staff Award
This spring, Staff Advisory Council and CAFNR colleagues gathered in Buck’s Ice Cream Place to surprise Secley Kennedy with the news that she had received the 2024 Chancellor’s Outstanding Staff Award – Clerical/Office. Kennedy, FNES Director & Chair’s Assistant and FNES Division Coordinator, also serves as the CAFNR Staff Advisory Council Chair. The University of Missouri recently presented the 12 Outstanding Staff Awards during Staff Recognition Week. Recipients were nominated by peers for their exemplary service and dedication to Mizzou. DASS faculty member honored by Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City
The Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City honored Scott Brown, associate extension professor in the Division of Applied Social Sciences, with the group’s prestigious Jay B. Dillingham Award for Agricultural Leadership and Excellence at a luncheon held May 16 in Kansas City’s historic Union Station.

CAFNR students win Award for Academic Distinction
This honor was established in 2014 by a group of students to celebrate fellow Tigers who have gone above and beyond expectations. It is one of the highest honors MU offers based on academic distinction alone.
