Dr. Kanaley’s Research Projects

The Nutrition and Exercise Physiology Department is recruiting healthy adults between the ages of 18-45 for a research study examining the effects of sleep on brain health. This study has one 1-hour screen visit and two 2.5-hour research visits. Snacks and compensation provided. Complete this survey to see if you may qualify! All responses are confidential. Dr. Limberg’s Research Projects

The Nutrition and Exercise Physiology Department is recruiting healthy women with obesity that are non-nicotine users and between the ages of 18-45 for a research study. This project examines how blood flow changes in response to low oxygen (similar to sleep apnea) in individuals of normal weight or with obesity. This study has one 30-min screen visit via Zoom, one 1-hour in-person screen visit, and one 6-hour research visit at the Clinical Translational Research Unit. Participants will be compensated up to $250 after completion and provided cholesterol, blood sugar, and body composition results.

The Nutrition and Exercise Physiology Department is seeking participants for a University of Missouri study on blood flow and oxygen in women experiencing menopause. Join us for one 60-min in-person screen visit and three 5-hour research visits at Gwynn Hall. Participants receive body composition and blood panel results, plus up to $250 for their time.

The Nutrition and Exercise Physiology Department is recruiting young men and women between the ages of 18-45 with a body mass index above 30 kg/m² for a research study examining the effect of insulin on brain blood flow. This study has one 30-minute zoom meeting and one 3-hour research visit in NextGen Precision Health. Participants will be compensated up to $100 for their time and effort.

The Nutrition and Exercise Physiology Department is recruiting healthy men and women between the ages of 18-45 for a research study examining the effect of insulin on brain and leg blood flow. This study has one 30-minute Zoom meeting and one 6-hour research visit in MU-PAW. Participants will be compensated $150 for their time and effort.
