Research Summary
Jason Gillman’s research is aimed at understanding the genetic basis for valuable seed traits, and in developing novel methods to improve the value and productivity of soybean. His research uses methods drawn from traditional genetic analysis, modern molecular biology techniques, bioinformatic analysis and next-generation nucleic acid sequencing to elucidate the underlying basis for genetic variation. His work is aimed at understanding and intelligently utilizing natural and induced genetic diversity for the improvement of soybean.
