Research Summary
Dr. Limberg is interested in mechanisms that contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease and interventions that can reverse and/or prevent cardiovascular disease risk. Dr. Limberg is currently studying how blood flow and blood pressure are modulated by the nervous system, the effect of pharmacological and non-pharmacological (e.g. exercise) interventions, and how these factors may differ between men and women.
Specific areas of interest include:
- Neural control of blood flow and blood pressure
- Effect of exercise in neurovascular control
- Sex differences in cardiovascular regulation
