Senior Spotlight: Adam Slayton
Larna Schnitker (pictured left) graduated with an agribusiness management degree from the University of Missouri in May and created Amp'd Up Ag in 2020, alongside her boyfriend, Michael Fidler (senior agriculture major, pictured right), and her sister, Lucy (senior agribusiness management major). They offer consulting services for a variety of farming challenges, with a focus on helping farmers achieve higher yields while lowering their input costs. Success on and off the mat
The Designing and Delivering Educational/Leadership Programs course (AG_ED_LD 4340), has given students the chance to connect with industry partners and develop educational programs to aid those partners. The class, which includes a collaboration with the University of Illinois Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication program, pairs students from both universities with an outside stakeholder. Developing educational programs
Ellen Phillips, a senior by credits, has been incredibly involved during her time on campus. Phillips serves as the philanthropy chair for the Sigma Alpha sorority, the fundraising chair for the Swine Club and a member of the Conservation Leadership Corp. Phillips also serves as the vice president of communications for the CAFNR Ambassadors. Phillips is interested in pursuing a law degree after she earns her undergraduate degree in agriculture. Finding the Perfect Fit
The agriculture degree program in the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) allows students to create their own unique college experience. Students tailor a course of study to their interests, choosing concentration areas from CAFNR’s other degree programs.
