Senior Spotlight: Adam Slayton
Larna Schnitker (pictured left) graduated with an agribusiness management degree from the University of Missouri in May and created Amp'd Up Ag in 2020, alongside her boyfriend, Michael Fidler (senior agriculture major, pictured right), and her sister, Lucy (senior agribusiness management major). They offer consulting services for a variety of farming challenges, with a focus on helping farmers achieve higher yields while lowering their input costs. The Designing and Delivering Educational/Leadership Programs course (AG_ED_LD 4340), has given students the chance to connect with industry partners and develop educational programs to aid those partners. The class, which includes a collaboration with the University of Illinois Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication program, pairs students from both universities with an outside stakeholder.
