What are your job duties/job responsibilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources?

I am chairing the Personal Financial Planning program. The PFP program has undergraduate and graduate programs that meet the educational requirement to sit for the national CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam and other finance-related credentials. We have award-winning faculty members who conduct cutting-edge research on personal finance and deliver high-quality education in classroom. Our students have so many job and career opportunities, as you can see high job placement rates from MU student outcome survey. I am so honored and excited to lead this program in CAFNR.

How long have you worked in CAFNR?

I have been at Mizzou since 2007 (when I first started academic career as an assistant professor in Textile and Apparel Management.)

What do you enjoy about working for CAFNR/Mizzou?

It is always about the students. I love the students and the culture that our students create at Mizzou. Our students are curious, hard-working, and so excited about the future. I love working with them to help them shape their future.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Travel, hiking, walking with our dogs or watching war movies!

What is something your co-workers/other CAFNR employees don’t know about you?

That I have two different speed modes! I have a New Yorker mode, and the Columbian mode. I lived in NYC working in the industry for about 9 years when I was younger. I am very used to fast-paced, ever-changing, and highly crowded environments. Sometimes, my colleagues or my family have to alert me that I just turned into New Yorker mode 😊. I need to quickly reset to the Columbian mode!
