In addition to its fundraiser, the Agronomy Club donated multiple pumpkins from their patch. While the majority of the pumpkins were the traditional orange in color, the Agronomy Club did plant multiple pink pumpkins, too. Those were donated to Alisha’s Pink Pumpkin Painting Party, which was held in mid-October at Jefferson Farm and Garden. Bringing Joy One Pumpkin at a Time
Joe Butler secured a job with Gardener's Path, a website dedicated to helping others with gardening advice, planting pointers and in-depth reviews of products, before graduation. While having a job did relieve him of some stress, Butler’s final day as a student did come with some pressure. He was one of two graduates who spoke during the ceremony, the first time that CAFNR has had students speak.

CAFNR Research Symposium Poster Winners Announced
Hired in 2019, Verónica Negrón-Pérez has spent the past three-plus years as an assistant researcher and principal investigator at one of the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez’s agricultural experiment stations (Tropical Animal Reproduction Investigation Center) – this one located in Gurabo, on the eastern side of Puerto Rico. Alex Muñoz just began his new role this summer as director of student recruitment in CAFNR. His job allows him to travel throughout the state and share how CAFNR helped prepare him for the future, as well as the great hands-on learning opportunities in each of the College’s 14 degree programs.
