14 CAFNR students awarded Mizzou Forward Undergraduate Research Training Grants

Fourteen CAFNR students have been awarded Mizzou Foward Undergraduate Research Training Grants. The purpose of these fellowships is to financially support undergraduate students who are serious about pursuing a graduate education in STEM and NSF-funded fields in order to enhance their opportunity to be admitted into the graduate school of their choice.

Andrew Clarke receives 2025 Brady J. Deaton Fellow in International Agriculture Award 

Andrew Clarke, associate professor of food science, has been selected for CAFNR’s 2025 Brady J. Deaton Fellow in International Agriculture Award. He was honored at CAFNR's annual awards ceremony, Celebration of Excellence, on Thursday, April 17.

Secley Kennedy receives 2025 Outstanding Leadership Award

Secley Kennedy, building coordinator for Agriculture Engineering, William Stringer and Eckles Hall, has been selected for CAFNR’s 2025 Outstanding Leadership Award. She was honored at CAFNR's annual awards ceremony, Celebration of Excellence, on Thursday, April 17.

Fourth annual CAFNR Research Symposium poster winners announced

The fourth annual CAFNR Research Symposium was held Tuesday, Oct. 1, and included a poster session. Undergraduate and graduate students as well as postdocs contributed posters to the session. In total, 89 posters were exhibited.

The University of Missouri Board of Curators recently named nine University of Missouri faculty members Curators’ Distinguished Professors and one Curators' Distinguished Professor Emeritus, including three CAFNR faculty members.

Secley Kennedy Honored with Chancellor’s Outstanding Staff Award

This spring, Staff Advisory Council and CAFNR colleagues gathered in Buck’s Ice Cream Place to surprise Secley Kennedy with the news that she had received the 2024 Chancellor’s Outstanding Staff Award – Clerical/Office. Kennedy, FNES Director & Chair’s Assistant and FNES Division Coordinator, also serves as the CAFNR Staff Advisory Council Chair. The University of Missouri recently presented the 12 Outstanding Staff Awards during Staff Recognition Week. Recipients were nominated by peers for their exemplary service and dedication to Mizzou.
