At CAFNR’s annual Celebration of Excellence, Mizzou Collegiate Farm Bureau (MCFB) was recognized as the college’s 2026 Outstanding Club/Organization. The organization received recognition at the awards ceremony April 23.

MCFB is a student organization dedicated to helping students build strong roots in Missouri agriculture while equipping them with the leadership skills, professional networks and policy knowledge necessary to become effective advocates for the industry.

“As an affiliate of the Missouri Farm Bureau Federation, our mission centers on leadership development, agricultural education, grassroots policy engagement and service to our community,” said MCFB members.

Throughout the past year, MCFB has advanced its mission through programming and statewide involvement. One major initiative the organization facilitated and took part in was bringing insight from state leadership directly to students on campus.

MCFB hosted a fireside chat with Gov. Mike Kehoe at the University of Missouri March 4 as its annual Farm Forum.

“With the attendance of approximately 200 students, faculty and community members, the event provided direct access to state leadership and real-time agricultural policy discussions,” MCFB members said.

Farm Forum was established to educate students about the priorities, challenges and opportunities shaping today’s agricultural landscape.

“Farm Forum represents the culmination of our mission – bringing education, advocacy, leadership and community engagement together in one impactful event,” MCFB said.

MCFB’s initiatives are centered around benefitting its members while also strengthening the entire Mizzou campus community through sustained engagement, measurable participation and intentional leadership development.
