Jon Simonsen, associate professor and program chair, agricultural education and leadership, was inducted into the CAFNR Teaching Academy at the college’s 2024 Celebration of Excellence ceremony April 16.  

Membership in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Teaching Academy will be reserved for CAFNR faculty who have received a distinguished teaching award on a national, regional or university level that is selected by peers. 

Simonsen was honored for receiving the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture Educator Award.   

At the awards ceremony, Simonsen was presented with the CAFNR Teaching Academy medallion to wear at graduation ceremonies.
