On Jan. 20, the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association recognized John Tummons as the 2023 Leadership Development Award recipient at the 56th Annual Missouri Cattle Industry Convention. This award was created to acknowledge individuals who are dedicated to growing and expanding the association and creating new leaders within the industry.

Tummons has dedicated his life to developing the next generation of agriculturalists. He has spent countless hours volunteering for organizations like MCA to take leadership development event even further.  

Three years ago, MCA developed the replacement heifer show and sale in conjunction with Show-Me Select. To call this initiative a success is an understatement, and it is due in large part to the dedication of committed volunteers like Tummons.
