What are your job duties/job responsibilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources?
As an assistant professor in the Division of Plant Science and Technology, my focus lies in exploring plant-plant interactions using parasitic plants, with particular emphasis on dodder (Cuscuta) and broomrape (Phelipanche). Here is my ORCID page.
Also, I am an instructor for Plant Biotechnology (PLNT 4550/7550) and a chair for the Millikan Endowment Fund.
How long have you worked in CAFNR?
This is my third year as an assistant professor.
What do you enjoy about working for CAFNR/Mizzou?
I enjoy the moment when I feel I am growing as an advisor, teacher, and researcher. Also, I love to discuss results with students and solve problems on their research projects.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I am originally from South Korea, so Missouri is still new to me. My family and I like to visit St. Louis and Kansas City to try new things and new food.
What is something your co-workers/other CAFNR employees don’t know about you?
I like to play golf, although my score is terrible. 😉
