What are your job duties/job responsibilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources?

As the marketing communications coordinator, my job is to design creative and engaging content at the college level, including our student recruitment materials, social media graphics and outdoor signage – just to name a few examples! I also build and disseminate all of our internal newsletters, as well as CAFNR Connected for alumni and donors through Mizzou’s bulk email system. I love the ability to use my creative energy to make CAFNR stand out!

How long have you worked in CAFNR?

I started with CAFNR in January of 2020, so I’m working on 2.5 years, even though it doesn’t feel like that long!

What do you enjoy about working for CAFNR/Mizzou?

Everyone that I’ve met here has been really welcoming and kind. Campus is so vibrant and alive, and that in itself is an inspiring feeling. Working within the CAFNR Communications team is so encouraging and supportive. I love the feeling when I get an “aha moment” about a certain group/department/division’s project and can carry to that to the finish line!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love my garden and growing a crop of fresh vegetables in the summer and fall, as well as creating mixed planters of flowers to display around my patio. My husband and I also have horses so we go camping to ride them in the beautiful landscapes of Missouri and Arkansas when we have time. I can’t forget my best doggo – Calla is our adventure partner in all the things!

What is something your co-workers/other CAFNR employees don’t know about you?

I have stood on both the Prime Meridian and the Equator!
