What are your job duties/job responsibilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources?

As the CAFNR Extension Communications Strategist, I work to tell the story of the huge impact our Extension specialists have across the state. Some of my job responsibilities include news releases, internal newsletters and social media for the Agriculture and Environment Extension program.

How long have you worked in CAFNR?

I joined the CAFNR team in January, so just 4 months!

What do you enjoy about working for CAFNR/Mizzou?

I love getting to work in a university setting. Everybody around me is curious about the world around us and each person offers a unique expertise or insight. I learn something from somebody every day! As a huge bonus, my team here at CAFNR Communications and Marketing is relentlessly positive and supportive. I’m also passionate about knowledge accessibility and lifelong learning, which are intrinsic to the Extension system. It’s an honor to get to have a small part in that.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love spending time with my family and two kittens, reading science fiction novels, playing piano, hiking and paddle boarding. I especially love to travel when I can, and I have a passion for collecting unique antiques and designing functional spaces.

What is something your co-workers/other CAFNR employees don’t know about you?

I’m a “retired” ballerina! Dance and music used to be my entire life, and I love it when I get to connect with others who know the power of the arts.
