What are your job duties/job responsibilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources?

I am the Strategic Communications Associate for the School of Natural Resources – I create and lead content for SNR’s social media profiles and design additional communication projects. This includes fulfilling copywriting, photo and graphic design needs to tell the stories of our programs! I also help with recruitment events for the school to welcome future tigers to campus.

How long have you worked in CAFNR?

I started working in October 2023, so I have worked for CAFNR for over six months now!

What do you enjoy about working for CAFNR/Mizzou?

My role in CAFNR combines all the skills I learned while taking courses during my undergrad at Mizzou – including classes I took in CAFNR! As a Mizzou alum, it is extremely rewarding to apply the education I received by directly giving back to my school.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy going for walks around Columbia’s parks and trails, and spending time at local coffee shops while reading a good book. I also love traveling and exploring new places whenever I can!

What is something your co-workers/other CAFNR employees don’t know about you?

I grew up as a dancer and musician (I’ve learned piano, flute and guitar), so I have a deep appreciation for the arts. I had the opportunity to combine this interest with my professional career development by working at The Muny in St. Louis, where I spent a summer as a Marketing Intern in the entertainment and theatre industry!
