This award honors the first female full-term member of the University of Missouri Board of Curators, and is given to a faculty member each year who demonstrates extra effort to involve undergraduates in active learning experiences. CAFNR faculty and staff enjoyed a spud-tacular spread of soup and baked potatoes during the annual fall mingle event Oct. 29 hosted by the CAFNR Staff Advisory Council. Entomologists, including Emily Althoff, in Plant Science & Technology celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Enns Entomological Museum with an open house for the public Nov. 2. Attendees toured the museum, learned about insects and played bug-related games on the second floor of the Ag Building. Bryon Wiegand presented the latest developments on the upcoming Meat Science and Innovation Center at the Missouri Swine Institute Oct. 23. The new center will offer training and modern research facilities for the food science and animal sciences programs.
