Jack Dorson

Q: Why did you choose to come to the University of Missouri?
A:
I grew up not far from Mizzou and was always around the campus attending different events and games. The atmosphere on campus is fantastic and the programs offered at Mizzou are some of the best in the country.

Q: Why did you choose to pursue a degree in parks, recreation, sport tourism?
A:
I chose PRST because of my interest in sports and recreation. This degree program opened my eyes to many different opportunities inside the world of sport that I otherwise would have never seen.

Q: Were you involved in any extracurricular activities? If so, could you talk about those experiences?
A:
During my time at Mizzou I’ve been a Student Equipment Manager for the football team for 3 years. This opportunity has truly been a blessing and is something I will be forever grateful for. I got to experience all of the football games, home and away, and got to build relationships with countless coaches, athletes and other staff. I would personally like to thank Mike, Reuben, Kendall, and Drew for all of the things they have taught me over the years.

Q: What is a favorite memory you have during your time in CAFNR?
A:
My favorite memories in CAFNR would be getting to Dr. Brimecombe’s class early and having about a 30 minute conversation about anything we could think of.

Q: How did your degree program prepare you for the future?
A:
My degree program helped me build connections that will help further my career and have prepared me for the next step.

Q: What are your future plans?
A:
My future plans are to gain a Masters degree while in a GA role within the athletic department.
