Three faculty in CAFNR’s Division of Plant Science and Technology have been named 2025 Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate, marking them as among the most influential researchers in the world:

• Felix Fritschi, C. Alice Donaldson Professor;
• Ron Mittler, Curators’ Distinguished Professor and Bond Life Sciences Center faculty member;
• Bing Yang, Curators’ Distinguished Professor and Bond Life Sciences Center faculty member.

According to Clarivate, Highly Cited Researchers demonstrate significant and broad influence in their field of research. Each researcher selected has authored multiple Highly Cited Papers which rank in the top 1% by citations for their field and publication year in the Web of Science Core Collection over the past 11 years. This list, based on citation data, is then refined using other quantitative metrics, as well as qualitative analysis and expert judgment.

In 2025, 7,131 scientists across the globe received this honor.
