Julian Binfield

Binfield has over 20 years of policy analysis experience with the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute. Over that period, he has used dynamic partial equilibrium models to analyze a range of policies including trade policies and domestic support policies, as well as the impact of external factors such as weather and changes in the macroeconomy. He has coordinated several long-term research projects with international colleagues in Europe and Africa. Wyatt Thompson

Wyatt Thompson is a professor of Agricultural and Applied Economics. He joined the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute at the University of Missouri in 2006 to work on biofuel markets and policies, agricultural policies, and trade. Before joining the team, he worked at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris, France, analyzing export competition policies, measuring agricultural policy support, and assessing market impacts of policies, particularly those of the European Union, Mexico, and the United States. Harvey S. James, Jr., PhD, is Professor of Agricultural and Applied Economics in the Division of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Missouri. He also serves as Director of the Division, where he works with faculty and staff to support applied research, teaching, and engagement across agriculture, food, and community development. Michael Sykuta, PhD, is an economist working at the intersections of organizational economics, industrial organization, new institutional economics, public choice, and law. His work ranges from issues in agribusiness and agrifood value chains to energy policy and public utility regulation. He is Executive Director of the Financial Research Institute (FRI), whose programs focus on public utilities regulation and utility industry issues, and Director of the Center for Rural Energy Security (CRES), which focuses on federal and state energy policy and its implications for rural America. Scott Brown joined Mizzou in 1989 as a research associate in FAPRI, the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute. He is an expert in Missouri agricultural policy, as well as the livestock market outlook and dairy policy. He has testified before the U.S. Congress on the quantitative effects of changes in federal dairy and livestock policies, and currently works with the Missouri legislature on the economic effects of state policy options on Missouri agriculture.
