CAFNR Student Industry Engagement Programs

These programs are designed to provide an opportunity for CAFNR undergraduate students to learn about career opportunities within the agribusiness community.

About the Programs

Participants can take part in networking dinners with industry professionals and CAFNR alumni, as well as visit regional agribusinesses to learn more about internship and full-time career opportunities.

Objectives

  • Provide students with direct exposure to regional agribusiness opportunities
  • Help participants understand the requirements for successful agribusiness careers
  • Allow the opportunity for students to network with industry professionals

Funding

These programs are funded by the John Brown and Gary Dickinson endowments.

Program Details

  • The Dickinson Scholars Program takes place in Kansas City, Missouri, over winter break in even-numbered years.
  • The Brown-Dickinson Scholars Program takes place in St. Louis, Missouri, over winter break in odd-numbered years.
  • The CAFNR Agribusiness Career Connections Program takes place annually over Thanksgiving break, contingent upon funding.
