Research Summary

Jeong's research focuses on the intersection of leisure, urban greening, and well-being. Her overarching goal as a teacher and scholar is to build better inclusive policies and practices for communities to address disparities in recreation opportunities and health outcomes.

Recent research projects include investigating leisure behavior as resistance in urban greening initiatives, exploring the psychological impacts of neighborhood greenness and park use, and assessing subjective well-being in resident-led vacant lot greening efforts within underserved communities.
