Animal Sciences Scholars Recognized by SSR

Four scholars in the Division of Animal Sciences received awards for presentations given at the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR) Annual Meeting held in Spokane, Washington.

Alexis Jones, master’s student, was awarded the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Merit Award. This award recognizes research that most benefits or enhances scientific understanding of reproduction in agriculturally important species.

Lauren Hamilton, postdoctoral fellow; Jason Rizo, doctoral student; and Edgar Miranda, visiting scholar; each received the SSR Trainee Travel Award. This award recognizes the three best pre-doctoral and post-doctoral posters and the three best pre-doctoral and post-doctoral platform presentations.
