The Agroforestry Symposium: Growing Opportunities in Emerging Tree Crop Industries will feature farmers, researchers and industry professionals working to catalyze market development for perennial specialty crops across the United States. MU Collegiate Soil Judging places 3rd at regional contest, helps out rival team

Last month, the MU Collegiate Soil Judging Team took home third place at the 2025 Region V Soil Judging Contest in Omaha, advancing to the 2026 National Collegiate Soil Judging contest in Raleigh, North Carolina, this upcoming spring. Mizzou’s team is the largest collegiate soil judging team in the nation, and although 24 Mizzou students competed in the contest, only 21 actually competed for the Tigers.

2025 Column Awards recognize outstanding CAFNR alumni

The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources honored six recipients with the 2025 CAFNR Column Award for Distinguished Alumni at an event Thursday, Nov. 6. This is the only award specifically for alumni presented by the college – the highest honor bestowed by the College in celebration of outstanding alumni. The awardee class includes one graduate from each of CAFNR’s six divisions, reflecting the six historic columns at the University of Missouri.
