CAFNR Vice Chancellor and Dean Christopher Daubert recognized Jeff Barizon with the CAFNR Driver to Distinction award during a surprise visit to the lab on Oct. 6, 2025. Heike Bücking, director of the Division of Plant Science and Technology, and Mandy Bish, assistant professor and State Extension Plant Pathologist, joined Daubert for the presentation.

His nominator, Bish, said:

“Jeff plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations at SCN Diagnostics…His interactions span industry partners, government agencies, universities, commodity groups and farmers. Jeff is a positive and exemplary representative of the Division of Plant Science and Technology, and CAFNR.”
