What are your job duties/job responsibilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources?
As the Business Specialist, I monitor grant spending, budget parameters, financial assistance, contracts, purchasing, and logistics, accounts payable for specialty crops and lab services through online payment options. I’m also the first point of contact for the public and stakeholders looking for agroforestry information.

How long have you worked in CAFNR?
I’ve worked in CAFNR for 12 years with the Center for Agroforestry, which is one of the first CAFNR Programs of Distinction.

What do you enjoy about working for CAFNR/Mizzou?
It’s great to hear and learn about the research, especially about growing nut trees and wastewater analysis. I hope to gain a better understanding of soil, too.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
We have a farm east of town at Millersburg where I grow specialty cut flowers, tuberoses, peonies, fancy zinnias. I’m part of the Missouri Flower Exchange, a collective that sells flowers online in Columbia and Springfield. It’s a lot of fun.

What is something your co-workers/other CAFNR employees don’t know about you?
Growing up my dad restored and showed antique cars. When he won the Indianapolis show, we got to ride around the Indy 500 track in a 1941 Packard woody station wagon that my sister and I had helped with the paint restoration.
