Celebrate CAFNR’s 150th Anniversary

The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources looks back on a golden legacy, forward to a bold future

It’s a big year in CAFNR! We are proud to be observing the 150th anniversary of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources in 2020. Make plans to join us in celebrating the golden legacy and bold future of our college.

Save the date to join us for the CAFNR Founding Day celebration, Monday, Feb. 24. We will have a special proclamation ceremony in the Jesse Hall rotunda at 1:30 that afternoon. This event will mark 150 years to the day of our founding in 1870. Speakers will include Missouri Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, who will also read a special proclamation; Christopher Daubert, CAFNR vice chancellor and dean; and Tom Payne, CAFNR vice chancellor and dean emeritus.

We have created a landing page to keep track of all things sesquicentennial. Follow along all year with events, peruse our history series and see a historical timeline of the college on our website at cafnr.missouri.edu/150th.

We were proud to work with the Mizzou Alumni Association on feature stories about CAFNR’s past, present and future over the past few months. See the special CAFNR section from the Winter 2020 issue of MIZZOU magazine.

Help us celebrate in all we do this year! Download the official 150th logo to use in newsletters, event promotion, email signatures and other messaging during 2020.
