Michael Dennigmann, senior research specialist, was recognized as CAFNR’s newest Driver to Distinction honoree Dec. 10 during a surprise visit at the Farm for Soy Innovation. Vice Chancellor and Dean Christopher Daubert presented the award. Heike Bücking, director of the Division of Plant Science and Technology; Andrew Scaboo, associate professor in the division; and colleagues joined in for the surprise ceremony.

Dennigmann was nominated by Mariola Usovsky, senior research scientist, who praised his dedication to research.

“Michael and I are coworkers of Northern Soybean Breeding and Genetics program led by Dr. Andrew Scaboo (Plant Science and Technology). Michael’s position is highly essential and demanding the entire year, especially during the soybean harvest season (September-November). Michael works extremely hard travelling to multiple breeding locations in Missouri harvesting soybean research plots. He never complains and gives 100% of himself. His role is noticed by other team members who feel the same about him. He is a wonderful team player. He is devoted to research and deserves to be recognized,” Usovsky said.
