Amy Moum, program/project support coordinator II, Division of Applied Social Sciences, has received CAFNR’s 2026 Outstanding Staff Award. She was recognized at the college’s Celebration of Excellence awards ceremony April 23.
Moum was honored for her collaborative nature, her thoroughness in her work, and her service to the college and her coworkers.
“Amy is not afraid to learn new things, accepts challenges and shows up regularly,” said nominator Cindy Greenwood, program/project support coordinator II, School of Natural Resources. “Her success is always shared with others. She is most definitely not an ‘I’ — it’s always we, ours, staff’s.”
Moum has served on CAFNR Staff Council and has stepped in to help with projects at the college-level. She volunteers in the community with the True/False Film Festival and Art in the Park.
“Teamwork is one of Amy’s greatest attributes. She is such a valuable resource with historic knowledge,” Greenwood said. “She works well at all levels with students, staff, faculty, administration and stakeholders and is respected by all. She is so much the epitome of doing work when no one is looking and that is fueled by her own sense of integrity, discipline and self‑motivation.
“On a simple level, her work success is due to showing up, providing quality work and always helping others. She makes the work world a better place every day — providing a sense of connection, health and well-being, affirming what she’s good at and sharing it with others.”
