CAFNR Human and Animal Health Day – Saturday, Dec. 6

Experience hands-on lab activities, hear from expert panels and connect with faculty. Learn how majors like biochemistry, nutrition & exercise physiology, natural resources and animal sciences can launch your health career.

Your day includes walking on campus: Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Parking
Park at the Virginia Ave. Parking Structure (901 Virginia Ave., Columbia, MO 65211). You might need to go up on the higher levels to find a spot. Walk north on Virginia Avenue toward Rollins St.

CAFNR Exploration Day Schedule

8:30 a.m.Check-in at Agriculture Building (located at the corner of Rollins St. and Hitt St.)
9:00 a.m.Overview of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR)

Quick Major Overviews

9:20 a.m. – Animal Sciences
9:35 a.m. – Biochemistry
9:50 a.m. – Natural Resources – Fisheries and Wildlife
10:05 a.m. – Nutrition and Exercise Physiology

10:20 a.m. – Parents depart and are free to enjoy Columbia until 1:30 p.m. for student pickup
10:20 a.m.Students break into Health GroupsHuman Health or Animal Health


Animal Health Rotation

10:25 a.m. – MU College of Veterinary Medicine
11:00 a.m. – Natural Resources – Fisheries and Wildlife
12:00 p.m.Lunch
12:45 p.m. – Animal Sciences
1:30 p.m.Event concludes – Students can be picked up at the Animal Science Research Center (920 E Campus Dr)


Human Health Rotation

10:25 a.m. – MedOpp
11:00 a.m. – Biochemistry
12:00 p.m.Lunch
12:45 p.m. – Nutrition and Exercise Physiology
1:30 p.m.Event concludes – Students can be picked up at Gwynn Hall near Memorial Union
