What are your job duties/job responsibilities in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources?

I am the manager of Buck’s Ice Cream. As for responsibilities, I wear a lot of different hats within the shop from scooping dips and taking orders to monitoring inventory, ordering product, receiving deliveries, scheduling productions, running the social media, and of course making ice cream.

How long have you worked in CAFNR?

I’ve been in CAFNR and at Buck’s for 11 months now.

What do you enjoy about working for CAFNR/Mizzou?

I’ve been at Mizzou for a long time – going on 15 years now, and there’s a lot I love about this great university, but my favorite part about working in CAFNR and in my role now is working with the students writing recipes and coming up with ideas to produce new flavors of ice cream. I’m working with future food scientists, you know. If you haven’t been to Buck’s in a while you should come by or stop in.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love the outdoors – fishing, hiking, camping, motorcycle riding – in the summer. I like going to all the community events and concerts Columbia has throughout the year. I also enjoy to paint, write, and sculpt.

What is something your co-workers/other CAFNR employees don’t know about you?

Oh, so much probably but the two I’ll give you are that I joined the Navy after high school and had been to 23 countries before I was 22. The other is I am a children’s book author and artist.
