Growing up in a rural Missouri town, coming to such a big university could have been intimidating. (I had a class my freshman year that had more people than my entire town!) CAFNR made me feel right at home, though! I had heard that CAFNR had a family feel — and I found that to be true the moment I walked onto campus. My time at Mizzou has been incredibly rewarding in so many ways. As the CAFNR student council president, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know so many of the students in the College. I have enjoyed all of those conversations, and being able to serve as a voice for CAFNR students is an experience I’ll never forget. There are so many ways to get involved — and CAFNR faculty and staff are so encouraging in helping students reach their goals. Speaking of experiences, the CAFNR Experience offers students access to award-winning advisors and teachers; research opportunities with internationally-renowned scientists; multiple study abroad options; career expos; hands-on learning experiences; and so much more! Take a peek at the stories below to see how CAFNR prepares students to be successful — not just in the classroom but in their future careers! Elizabeth Gunter
