CAFNR Faculty, Staff and Friends:

I appreciate our CAFNR Community, now more than ever.

I am overwhelmed with emotion by the amount of time and care faculty and staff members are putting into ensuring a quality education of our students from afar. I am proud of our students, who are making the most of this time of remote learning and continuing their education under new and challenging circumstances. I also appreciate the attentiveness and devotion of CAFNR personnel when addressing stakeholder questions and issues. Rest assured, administrators and supervisors are working tirelessly to make sure essential research and outreach continues, with many employees working remotely as we respond urgently to the critical threats from the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is an unprecedented time for our college, our university, and our world. Now, more than ever, we are working together to ensure our land-grant missions of student success, research excellence and state outreach and Extension are fulfilled. Yes, we are faced with many uncertainties and challenges. But I am certain that we will become a stronger and more compassionate college from these experiences, and I would not want to be anywhere else than leading CAFNR right now.

Thanks to every one of you for what you are doing… you are making a tremendous difference at a tough time in our history – a positive force for good in the face of adversity.

If there is anything you need, right now or down the road, don’t hesitate to contact me.

As always, CAFNR Proud!
