 (click to read)

I had a great time honoring our December graduates last month, and I am excited to welcome our students, faculty and staff back for another semester! I want to take a quick moment to congratulate all of our students who were recognized on the Dean’s list for Fall 2022 — outstanding work!

I’m looking forward to another great semester, and I can’t wait to see all that our students accomplish in the upcoming months.

Traveling outside Missouri?

All MU graduate and undergraduate students on university-affiliated travel outside of Missouri either individually or in groups must be registered in the Domestic Travel Registry. If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the following, you must register your travel.

  • Will your travel be partially or fully funded by MU or CAFNR?
  • Will your travel be related to a course or curriculum requirement, including internships?
  • Will a faculty or staff member organize your travel within the scope of their employment?

The Sophie Cunningham Classic allowed young female athletes to take center stage and allowed Cunningham to give back to the community where she dominated opponents on the court as a high school player at Rock Bridge and a college athlete at the University of Missouri. While Cunningham was dominant on the court, she was also involved in the parks, recreation and sport degree program. She chose the sport management track, too, earning her degree in 2020.

The Classic also allowed sport management students at the University of Missouri the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on learning experiences at a high-profile event.
