I am thrilled to share with you the recipients of our top honor for alumni in the college, the CAFNR Column Awards, for 2025. I remain humbled each year by not only the extraordinary achievements of our honorees, but also the appreciation they express for their time at CAFNR and Mizzou. It was a joy recognizing these six exceptional alumni earlier this month! I have also enjoyed celebrating our incredible students over the past few weeks! I appreciate the opportunity each fall to take time to learn more about our students who are veterans, first-generation students and transfer students. Each of your stories is unique, and we are so glad they have led you here to CAFNR! I am proud of our students who were recognized at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, including many receiving their American Degrees. We were thrilled to have a national officer candidate, Braden Havlik, as well as the national winner of the Agricultural Proficiency Award in Diversified Crop Production – Entrepreneurship, Madeliene Pollard. Finally, I look forward to seeing you all at Novemberfest 2025, where I share an update on CAFNR’s past year, delicious food and drink, and my thanks for all of your hard work in 2025. This year’s event will be Friday, Nov. 21, 3-5 p.m. in Monsanto Auditorium, Bond Life Sciences Center. I hope you all enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your loved ones!
