Cultivating Diversity & Inclusion

CAFNR will celebrate Native American Heritage Month in November by highlighting notable Native Americans in agriculture, food and natural resources. Keep an eye on the CAFNR website, social media and digital displays to learn more! In addition, you can participate in one of Mizzou’s free events throughout the month – either virtually or in person.

CAFNR recognized first-generation student success over the week of Nov. 8 – National First-Generation College Celebration Week! CAFNR faculty and staff shared their experiences as first-gen students, while encouraging the next generation of students.

Mizzou Meat Market is taking orders for smoked turkeys and prime rib for the holidays! Orders will only be accepted using the linked online order forms this year.


This month we recognize the following faculty and staff members for their years of service to Mizzou!

  • Ali Brinn Matheny, business support specialist, Division of Plant Science & Technology, celebrated five years of service Oct. 3.
  • Thresa Chism, office support assistant IV, Bradford Research Center, celebrated 40 years of service Oct. 12. (She retired Oct. 31)
  • Wyatt Thompson, professor, Division of Applied Social Sciences, celebrated 15 years of service Oct. 16.
  • Reid Smeda, professor, Division of Plant Science & Technology, celebrated 25 years of service Oct. 21.
  • Victoria Bryan, program/project support coordinator II, Division of Plant Science & Technology, celebrated 10 years of service Oct. 24.
