Cultivating Diversity & Inclusion

MU African Interdisciplinary Studies Hub promotes interdisciplinary, collaborative research and teaching that contributes to a better understanding of Africa at the University of Missouri. MU Africa Hub has an academic and fiscal home in the College of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources under the CAFNR International Programs office (CIP). Africa Hub brings in speakers and showcases films that focus on Africa, as well as promotes academic courses and exchange programs. CAFNR Commencement is Dec. 18 at 3 p.m. in the Hearnes Center! Visit Mizzou Commencement for up-to-date campus details.

CAFNR Portrait Day: Early next semester, there will be an opportunity for CAFNR faculty, staff and graduate students to have a professional headshot taken. Dates and times are still being finalized. Since Inside CAFNR does not have a January issue, please keep an eye on CAFNR Info for more details, beginning in January!

Anniversaries

This month we recognize the following faculty and staff members for their years of service to Mizzou!

  • Trista Strauch, assistant teaching professor, Division of Animal Sciences, celebrated 10 years of service Nov. 1.
  • Mengshi Lin, professor, Division of Food, Nutrition & Exercise Sciences, celebrated 15 years of service Nov. 20.
  • Neil Fox, professor, School of Natural Resources, celebrated 20 years of service Nov. 28.
