Celebration of Excellence 2019 was held Thursday, April 11, at Reynolds Alumni Center. Awards were given for teaching, research, advising, extension, service and volunteering. Ritcha Mehra-Chaudhary joins CAFNR as an assistant teaching professor of Biochemistry

Show Me Mizzou Day, the first-ever all-university open house, is tomorrow, Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. As part of the festivities, CAFNR will showcase a variety of programs and services, including Buck’s Ice Cream, Tiger Garden and Enns Entomology Museum. The Torq’N Tigers quarter-scale tractor team and the Missouri Mobile Meteorological Observatory will be on MFA Plaza (between the Life Sciences Building and Anheuser-Busch Natural Resources Building). In the Agriculture Building, visit the CAFNR Open House, Show Mo Bugs and the Interdisciplinary Plant Group. Learn more on Mizzou’s website, or download the app.

Evidence of Excellence

Bryan Garton, senior associate dean for academic programs, received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University in early March. The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes those who have brought distinction to themselves and the college at large through their participation, commitment and leadership. Garton received his PhD in agricultural education from The Ohio State University in 1993. Learn more about the award and winners online.
