The CAFNR Research Council is continuing its online webinar series for the spring semester. Registration is not required. Upcoming events include:

  • Thursday, March 23, 3:30 p.m.: Keri Jacobs, Associate Professor and MFA Chair in Agribusiness, will present “From Anecdote to Evidence: A look into governance practices of agricultural cooperatives,” Join on Zoom.
  • Thursday, April 6, 3:30 p.m.: Jaime Barros Rios, postdoctoral fellow, Plant Science and Technology will present “Natural Variation of Lignin Metabolism in Poplar.” Join on Zoom.
  • Thursday, April 20, 3:30 p.m.: “Using Cryo-Electron Microscopy to Study Protein Quality Control in Disease,” Stephanie Gates, associate professor, Biochemistry. Join on Zoom.

Mid-Career Research Development Program Accepts Hospitality Management Faculty

Pei Liu, associate professor of hospitality management, was accepted into Mizzou’s Mid-Career Research Development Fellows Program for a two-year term beginning fall 2023.

Hospitality Management Professor Receives Fullbright Award

Dae-Young Kim, professor of hospitality management, was selected by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board as an award recipient for 2023-24. Kim is a Fulbright U.S. Senior Scholar for the upcoming academic year. He will use his scholarship to teach and conduct research on sustainable tourism in Las Palmas, Spain, for five months.
