Message from the Associate Dean

Yesterday it was announced that, over the next nine months, the Missouri Agricultural Experiment Station (MOAES) and its collection of farms and research centers will undergo a restructuring, with the goal of making MOAES more efficient, effective and relevant. The restructuring allows MOAES to better align with the strategic priorities of CAFNR and MU Extension.

Marshall Stewart, MU Extension, and Leslie Holloway, Missouri Farm Bureau, led the “Moving AES Forward” taskforce, and these recommendations were provided to President Mun Choi. We have reviewed the recommendations and fully support the restructuring effort. With the input from both internal and external stakeholders, we have spent the past year studying the needs and challenges facing the research centers and farms, looking at ways to increase efficiency, effectiveness and relevancy.

Additional information about the restructuring plan may be reviewed on the CAFNR website. We appreciate your support of CAFNR and look forward to your collaboration as we implement this new plan.
