  • Do the PI and others have the ability to actually accomplish the aims? Do they have expertise in the appropriate area?
  • How is prior experience related to the proposed research
  • Evidence of independent contributions to science
  • Has there been collaboration between the Co-PIs?
  • Has there been a reasonable progression in their career as shown by publications and job positions?
  • Are there recent publications in the area of the work proposed?
